northeastern honors housing

The Honors Program Site, under Student Life > Living Learning Community > West Village F, says this:

"New students entering in the Fall who are enrolled in the Honors Program have the option to elect to live in the Honors Hall by indicating this preference (for Honors housing) on their housing application. Should the number of Honors students exceed the capacity of West Village F (222 students), requests will be granted in deposit date order, and remaining Honors students will be housed together in Kennedy Hall (the current Honors residence hall)."

(sweet, right?)

But the New Student Residence Application says this:

"A section of Parcel 18 will be designated for freshman themed housing for the Freshman Honors Program, the International LLC, and the Creative Expressions LLC. Space is limited, and assignments will be made in deposit date order."

(parcel 18 is scheduled to open fall 2009)

I'm guessing that the Honors site hasn't been updated as recently as the Residence Application has. It looks like Honors LLC students are being housed in Parcel 18, then West Village F, then Kennedy Hall.

But why does Parcel 18 take precedence? The apartment-style West Village F and Kennedy (which even have kitchens, living rooms, and private bathrooms!) are far nicer than the typical dorm-style Parcel 18.

WHY?!?!? this is like "hey guys we're gonna house you in refrigerator boxes. when we run out of those, we'll start filling up the town houses."
i'm going to be really, really, really annoyed if i get stuck in parcel 18. that's just ridiculous. especially because i got all excited about it at first because i didn't know anything about honors housing at the time.

and now i'll believe in anything

a poem

when i was at the northeastern hockey game,
there were these two little asian girls
wearing children's dresses and toting massive blankets
because they were cold, right?
i commented on them
and jamie's friend sean was like
"she's a princess."
and i was like "from where?!"
"uganda."
"she's not from uganda."
"she married in."
"i'm pretty sure you can't do that in africa."
"she was a virgin, so they let her"
and then i finally saw jamie laughing and shaking her head.
and i felt bereaved
because the skanky asian girl was not really a princess
